When is a reduced sodium salt not right for me?
For some people, switching to a reduced sodium salt such as
LoSalt is not appropriate.
Due to its potassium content, LoSalt may not be suitable for
patients identified as having a risk of higher serum potassium
levels. This may include hypertensive, diabetic, cardiac and renal
patients who are on medication which affects potassium levels, such
as ACE inhibitors and ARBs. If you are not sure this information is
relevant to you, check with your doctor first if LoSalt is
appropriate for you.
